Beauty lies behind what you feel, not behind what you see

Mask Creation inspired by Alekos Fassianos (educational program for children 5 - 13 years old)

The Alekos Fassianos Museum organises a carnival mask workshop. Kids will be asked to observe the bright colours in Alekos Fassianos’ work, the motifs and the repeating symbols that he drew. Their inspiration will be the original masks made by the painter and the goal is to make their own creations.

We draw creativeness from the artist’s own philosophy, according to which he would create a mask and transform himself into what the mask represented. He could become a fish, a bird, happy, sad, serious, funny, young, old, a hero… whatever he wished!
